The Department of Political Science is among the finest departments of the College. The courses offered by the department are affiliated with Himachal Pradesh University Shimla. The department has implemented the choice-based credit system (CBCS) for grading B.A. students as per the guidelines of HPU. Tutorials form an integral part of the teaching method in the Department of Political Science.
Apart from being involved in undergraduate teaching the faculty of the department has been actively engaged in wide-ranging research activities covering a large number of national and regional topics/ subjects.
Since its inception, the department has done a great job of putting efforts into achieving the academic goals of the students.
