The Department of Hindi was established in 2006. The department is committed to enhancing student’s ability to communicate effectively. It enables undergraduates to have a better perspective on understanding language, literature, and the multiplicity of cultures. It is combined with references to insightful literary works of various authors, writers, and scholars. Students get exposed to the history of literature and various critical theories along with course work which enables them to have a better perspective of the future. Apart from the academic achievements the department engages in various co-curricular activities. The department annually organized Hindi week during Hindi Diwas to highlight the importance of the Hindi language.
